Going to my first kickback?

What exactly do people do in these things? Ive never been to a party and never gone wild or anything before so i wanna know what to expect. Always been scared to attend these kinds of things cause im not very good at having conversations with people i dont know and i dont like the taste of beer (or maybe i havent found the one i like) so eh.. probably gonna be like an outcast. I cant dance either. My friends said they will try to break me in to these things but i wanna know what is expected in a ''kickback''
